Emergency Payroll Request

Effective July 1, 2009, the charge for Payroll to process an emergency payroll request will be $50 per request. Please download the new form from University Forms Templates.

Making Work Pay Tax Credit

Congress passed the "Making Work Pay" tax credit. Therefore, the IRS has issued new tax tables which will reduce the amount of federal taxes most people have withheld from their pay. This started with your March 2009 check. The new tables are meant to implement a $400 per individual / $800 per married couple tax credit for 2009.

Please note a word of caution for individuals who have more than one job or married couples with both spouses working; since the new tables will be applied to all jobs, it could leave you with a federal tax liability at the year end. To avoid this problem, you may want ot submit a new Federal W-4 and/or talk with your tax preparer for advice on this matter.

2008 W-2's on AccessPlus

2006, 2007 and 2008 W-2's are available via AccessPlus. Once you have logged in, click on the "Employee" tab, the "W2" link in the left column, select "Electronic", "submit", then click on the year to view. This is a two-sided, official document you can use for tax purposes. Internet Explorer is the best browser to use to view these documents. If using FIrefox as your broswer, see instructions on W-2 link.
AccessPlus

Third Party Access

Third Party Access allows an Iowa State AccessPlus user to share access to some of their personal information with a trusted Third Party. The information that can be shared in AccessPlus is their Payroll Info and W-2. Instructions are in AccessPlus under the Employee tab, Third Party Access.
