Why Electronic W-2's

Last year over 50% of University employees chose to receive their W-2's electronically via AccessPlus. Here are some reasons why you should consider receiving your W-2 electronically.

• Security - your social security number and other personal information are not sent through the mail.
• Promptness - get your W-2 as soon as they are ready, typically mid-January. Paper W-2's are not mailed until the end of January.
• Accessibility - you can print as many copies as you need; whenever you need them.
• Environmentally green - save a tree, eliminate the use of an envelope.
• Cost savings - save the University postage.

If you received a W-2 for 2007, your election of electronic or paper will carryover to 2008 as long as you receive a paycheck in December 2008. If you will not receive a paycheck in December, your election will default to paper as of January 1, 2009. You can change your election any time you want by logging into AccessPlus, Employee Tab and W-2 link.
